Auction artefact #4: Folding opera glass

These came in a $35 box lot with a number of old radios (Mick loves those), a Brownie camera and other things.
The very uselessness of these, though – considering my circumstances – gave me a frisson of delight.

That, and the action. Glass goes up:

Glass goes down.

They are, as my friend Lance would say, ginchy.
