It's a source of irritation that I can't frame videos properly on this blog. I used to have friends for this sort of thing.
Maitland isn't exactly rustling with tech-heads.
So, to non-videos. I need a lovely little musical break. Something.
This is the definitive version of a brilliant song:

Ummm...
The previous post was a diversionary blurt.
I recently learned that I have surgery in a few weeks.
Highlights of the doctor's report:
Post-surgery, I might struggle with both eating and speaking.
I might also have a swollen face due to lymphatic issues. Permanently.
See title of post.

Turn to the left
I do love a fashion collision, especially when the overriding narrative appears to be the eruption of the quotidian. (Get her!)

Misfortune is relative
I'm still in medical limbo – I have another appointment next week. This time I hope the surgeon will actually be there.
My mood could be described as dark, but I can still find reasons to laugh.
To wit, the best opening line to a news story I've seen in years:
THE best man at a wedding was left battered and bloodied after he was hit in the head by a fast-moving dildo.

Still still
The ridiculous heatwave we had – more than a week at 40 or so – was truly wretched to the point of immobility.
Best thing about it was watching the critters trying to cool down.
Apart from the grey doves repeatedly falling into the fishpond (as cute as it sounds), we had a preying mantis hanging out, in this case head-down on an armchair on the front porch:
As for my medical situation, it's horrifying and fascinating; my surgical options are almost comically gruesome.
I shall come out of this
I just blanked out there. It's indescribable.
So far.
